Stupid jewelers that like to put precious stones into gadgets really rub me the wrong way. Not only is it stupid and frivolous, it is wasteful. Here are three of the dumbest blinged out devices I have seen over the past week. I would be hesitant to call this a top three, as there are plenty of equally stupid devices out there.

The title shot is the incredibly inane gold universal remote in 24K yellow gold. This will set you back about $30,000, money that could be better spent elsewhere or put to use for good. No one needs a gold remote control, how about donating it to a worthy cause instead.

Next, is the similarly priced Diamond Flower mouse. With its 18K white gold and 59 diamonds with a combined weight of 2 carats. Is this going to outperform the Microsoft Sidewinder, I don’t think so, but it is priced at over $30,700. Pay for a poor smart kid to go to college instead, what do you need with a diamond studded mouse?

Finally, for the criminally vapid whom should never be allowed to breed, the 14K white gold and diamond iPod Nano case. This thing is encrusted with 586 tiny diamonds. All that it does is prove that you are a jackass 586 times over. What a waste, there is a better than average chance if you are seen in the street with one of these that you will be robbed.
