NVIDIA’s New Monster Gaming Platform the nForce 780iStumble This

nVidia 780i

Intel’s next generation Yorkfield CPUs are supported by the new nForce 780i platform, as is 3-way SLI. There look to be a couple of PCI ports squeezed in there between the PCI-Es, though how anyone is going to fit anything between the heatsinks and fans is anyone’s guess. Hopefully, it will be possible to jimmy a sound card in there. Other than the graphics slots, it has room for up to 6 Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s drives, 2 PATA drives. 10 USB 2.0 ports should keep you covered on the peripherals.

I love a hardcore PC, but I am firmly of the opinion that one card should be enough for graphics. Three is just overkill and is environmentally irresponsible, not that I would mind getting my hands on one (as long as I don’t need to pay). No idea on price yet.
