Floppy Disc CDR

I am all for a joke and these CD-Rs disguised as 3.5 inch floppies really are quite amusing. They are mini CD-Rs so they will only pack in 200MB of data, but that is plenty for a photo album or tons of other fun things. The trouble is that these are CD-Rs, write once and that is it. At the price that you are shelling out they could at the very least make them RWs.

They look pretty realistic, and it does take you back to the good old days. I still remember the 5 1/4″ floppies that really were floppy and feeling oh so special when my father gave me a fresh pack of Verbatims. Then came the 3.5″ higher capacity disks. They lacked a certain amount of charm, but there was a cool little trick with an electric drill where you could turn a 700 KB into a 1.44MB. Oh, I feel all teary thinking about it. I guess real men do cry and they will cry even harder when they see that price. They will give you a laugh, but come on is it worth it?

Price: $10 (more than I pay for a spindle) + $4 shipping.
