Styrofoam is rotten stuff, but it does a really good job at protecting precious gadgets and gizmos in transit. Some of the things that I have bought have absolutely massive amounts of the stuff and there is little I can do other than take it to the local recycling center. Kwangho Lee looked at a mess of Styrofoam and saw potential, seating potential. He showed what you can do with a little imagination, too much time on your hands and a need for quality seating. Kwangho Lee built himself a sofa out of Styrofoam and I must say, it looks pretty good. The little bits that break off might get kind of annoying, so I would probably put a cover on it, but otherwise good job. I think a little homegrown recycling is great.

Styrofoam Sofa
Jan 9, 2008 at 7:19 pm
[...] Styrofoam Sofa was made by designer Kwangho Lee sculped from a mass of styrofoam into a sofa and because of its characterstic , the longer you sit on it, the warmer it gets. Nobody is really going to make styrofoam furniture, and this is just a concept. I must admit that from time to time we need to play a little and when Kwangho Lee made this piece I think he was in a playful mood. In the end the styrofoam sofa might be very unusual but it looks pretty good. - Via - Uberreview [...]
