Anyone who has had to sit through a meeting that is running into its second hour of overtime will know why their office needs to get one of these.

Planning a good meeting takes a lot of skill. Most people don’t really have the knack for the time management side of it. The worst types for it are visiting dignitaries. We might get twenty or thirty of them that need to introduce themselves to the room in a one hour time slot. Commonsense would dictate that each person would speak for two or three minutes before yielding the floor; sadly this is not the case. All too often you will get someone that thinks that they must share some personal profundity with the audience. They will waffle on for fifteen minutes and one hour turns into three. While a Task Watch would not eliminate such people, it would be a nice visual hint that it is time for them to sit down and let the next person have their turn.
