I don’t get into DIY electronics all that much, but I can appreciate the interest. It is hobby that I would love to take up if I had a little more time; I am simply too busy to do it myself, so I will have to satisfy myself with observing the exploits of others. This is a cool little project that was shown off over on Hacked Gadgets. A simple RC car had a microcontroller fitted inside the controller. The microcontroller, takes the RC car through a programmed routine, but it can also be controlled manually via computer.
