The Mac Book Air is a work of art, why mess with it? Make reader John decided that he had a few better ideas for the MBA and decided to try them out. He replaced the back of his svelte laptop with this carbon fiber monstrosity. In John’s defense, it is unfinished and it is his first attempt at working with carbon fiber. Let’s hope that he gets a bit better with it. He claims that it makes his MBA even lighter than it already is, though it became a little flimsier.
If you can think of a better way to void your McWarranty, I would love to hear it. Seriously though, I think that while this project can really take shape. Here’s hoping that John succeeds and I have a billion times more respect for his effort than some douche that sticks Swarovski crystals all over the case.
