Galaga Pimped out on the BayStumble This

Galaga Arcade Game
Galaga, now there is a game that I have not played for a long time. While I never loved Galaga enough to want to purchase a cabinet version of the game, I know more than one person that does. While I do get nostalgic about new games, I would never be nostalgic enough that I would part with hard earned money to pay for an expensive system that only plays a single game. My issues aside, however, this does look to be a reasonably good buy if you like Galaga.

While the motherboard is secondhand, the system has been extensively refurbished. Parts of this arcade game that have been replaced include:

  • Coin mechanism
  • Moldings
  • Joystick
  • Power Supply
  • Bulbs
  • Wiring

You can’t really ask for more in a classic arcade game. Aside from the new cabinet and parts, this seller is also claiming that new graphics have been installed. Hopefully this does not take too much away from the classic Galaga vibe. The bidding is now at $450, but the reserve is not yet met.

As always we will keep our eyes peeled for developments.
