Okay, so technically this is not purely a Lego camera mount, it is a Lego encased camera mount, but that does not change the fact that it is a really good idea. The Lego parts do give this rig some awesome functionality and I am betting we are going to be seeing a few Lego cam bots in the not too distant future thanks to this clever little idea.
Self confessed Lego geek Matthew Davidson determined that the Bogen 3157N baseplate of an RC2 camera mount would mate very nicely with a Lego 32532 6×8 Technic Brick. All it required was a Dremel to get rid of the unnecessary studs on the brick and, I am assuming, a little adhesive and voila a mount anywhere base for the camera mount. Davidson uses it for a little Canon G7 point and shoot, but I am sure it can be applied to larger fare, as long as your Lego base is wide or heavy enough.
