There are some gaming accessories that should never be made. Guess what? This is one of them. I understand the appeal of a force feedback vest, but I fail to see how being shocked with electricity enhances the gaming experience. Don’t get me wrong, I am no stranger to pain; I can handle my fair share. This is only battery powered, so it is not exactly going to fry you. You get a jolt every time you fail in the game in some way; be it crashing your car, getting shot, or failing to build a bridge in time to deliver your little lemmings to safety.
My gripe with this accessory is the inconvenience that you must go through to get it set up. You need to stick electrodes on yourself, presumably with conductive jelly. You then need to deal with the discomfort of wires hanging off you every which way. Not exactly my idea of fun. My guess is that the demand for the Mindwire V5 will be limited, but who knows?
Price: $200
