Imagine setting up a sprinkler at the front of your house to soak uninvited visitors that seem to show up when it is least appropriate. That strikes me as one potential application of a radio controlled sprinkler. The other would be watering a small garden without going outside. It might seem that it is designed to enable the perpetually lazy, however, there are people that work insane hours and do not always have time to take care of the garden. I have fallen into that category on many occasions.
