The DS does not really have much going for it in the looks department. Sure, the Lite version did manage to constrain the proportions a little, but it is still a bit of a clunker. If you absolutely can’t deal with the original color scheme, then the new range from Colorware might help you sleep a little better at night. They feature a veritable rainbow of schemes and I must admit, they do look pretty good. If you want to stand out, but you haven’t got a thing for bling, this could very well be an option.

Price: From $130 if you send in your own DS to about $240 if you get a new one from Colorware. Delivery takes about 3 weeks.
