Urbanati DJ Console, Modern Furniture with History

Urbanati DJ Console

I love seeing furniture that is made from recycled bits and pieces. Not only does it cut the costs of a good DIY project, it saves the environment from a little more plundering, which is a good thing. Trevor O’Neil is a designer that makes things out of recycled materials including cork, salvaged wood and wood scraps.

Here you can see the Urbanati DJ Console which he recently sold. It was a one of a kind piece made from cork, recycled pine and plywood. Not only does it look great, each material has a story to go along with it. The cork was left over from a recent project, the pine came from beams that were a part of his childhood home and the plywood was left over from a cabinet that he had made.

While the Urbanati DJ Console is sold, we are sure that Trevor O’Neil could be persuaded to produce another one if the price is right, the original sold for $2,000, if you need a price to go by.
