Hunting and fishing games tend to attract a certain type of person, but I have to say; when the mood strikes you, they can be quite fun. The problem is that most of the exotic creatures that Ernest Hemingway types like to blow away are now endangered; that and you have to travel a long way to get to shoot one of the ones that aren’t. While I am certain that Big Buck Hunter Safari will not come close to capturing the atmosphere of the real thing, no blood is spilled and no animals are hurt.
Players experience 15 unique hunting treks stretching from desert dunes through grassy savannas to the lush jungles in search of the “Big Game”. Hunt internationally-known antlered species including Gemsbok, Kudu, Sable, Cape Buffalo even Wildebeest. Big Buck Safari offers eight ‘Trophy Animals: Lions, Rhinos, Elephants, Panthers, Leopards, Giraffes, Zebras and Hippos to significantly raise scores.
The latest incarnation of the classic series throws in a few bonus critters and for you to destroy for your own amusement. It comes with a 27″ monitor and can be enjoyed by up to four players.
