
With prices of SSDs as astronomical as they are, it was only a matter of time before a viable DIY alternative came out and now it looks like one has. The DIY SSD is not cheap by any means, but if you absolutely must have solid state, it is the cheapest way to go. The price of $192.57 gets you a SATA 1.0 card that accepts up to three Compact Flash cards.
