The Iomega Media Xporter is a classy-looking 160GB 2.5″ external hard disk designed with the gaming set in mind. It has a design that should look good up against either the X360 or PS3, sorry Wii none for you and comes ready to run as is. As a portable external drive, the Media Xporter is a good deal.
I wouldn’t buy a Media Xporter for the very simple reason that I don’t have the need for that portability. If I were to get an external drive, I would opt for something bigger and with a lot more space. Getting a 3.5″ hard drive is going to decrease the cost and increase the disk space, both big plusses if you want a serious movie or music collection on board. Any standard USB 2.0 connectible drive is only a Partition Magic FAT32 format away from use with either console. That and I have a bit of a gripe with them using conversion software as a selling point when it is available as freeware; but perhaps I am just being too critical on account of the Zip.

Tihs is lame. The ps3 allows you to use any 2.5″ sata drive internally. For a $100 you can get a 500gb that is internal from tigerdirect. Don’t waste your money on this unless you have a crap xbox 360.
