In a sleepy South Australian town about fifteen years ago, a friend of mine made the mistake of mouthing off to a cop after he had been in a fight with his brother. To cut a long story short the police officers handcuffed him, threw him in the back of a police car and took turns prodding him with their nightsticks all the way back to the station. Were he to have persisted they just might have brought out the phone books. Such are the ways of the more brutal members of the police force. When you mess with the law you are rolling the dice and jamming their equipment is most certainly doing that.
While it would be incredibly fun to jam a police laser gun, there is a possibility that one would be discovered; which would leave you to suffer legal and whatever other ramifications the cop in question decided to dish out. With the type of legal environment we live in now, I would say that the Laser Speed Gun Jammer, as fun as it may be, is not worth the risk. How are they going to know? Well, they point their laser gun at a car to get a speed reading. If their equipment worked until they get to your car, there is a pretty good chance that a sharp police officer would figure out that something was up.

The laser jammer you have pictured is an LED based laser diffuser. It’s an older generation unit that will allow the police officers to get jam codes on the gun. The newest generation of laser guns are not even marketed as “laser jammers.” The new devices are working parking sensors that just so happen to jam police officers too. Lets say you accidentally leave your jammer on and get pulled over. “Officer, my parking sensor jammed you?”
I test laser jammers as a hobby. You can check out the “parking sensor” at http://www.laserjammertests.com
