Skype is to offer unlimited monthly international call plans in a number of countries. Skype users in the United States and Canada get the best deal: unlimited monthly calls for $2.95 per month. People living in thirty-four countries including Australia, China, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom will pay $9.95 for the same service, while European residents will be paying 2.95 euros to 8.95 euros per month depending on the destination of those calls. The Skype restructuring almost certainly has to do with their lackluster performance for parent company eBay. Phone calls can be made to either land lines or cell phones under the new plans.
