T-1000 Portable Cellphone Jammer, Cool but Probably Illegal to OperateStumble This

Cell Phone Jammer

There are good reasons why it is illegal to operate a cellphone jammer. As annoying as phones ringing in movie theaters are, there is no way to know if there is a call that someone really needs to make or take. People do have emergencies and do use their phones in them. For this reason I would never use a cellphone jammer in a public place.

For a bit of private mayhem, however, something like the T-1000 could be a lot of fun. Turn it on and you will block all communications in a 3-foot to 10-foot area, not very far I know but far enough. It will knock out AMPS, CDMA, TDMA, PCS, GSM, DCS, Nextel, iDEN and 3G voice signals. As a bonus, it looks like the first cellphone I ever owned. It has a great market in the tinfoil hat wearing crowd.

Price: $240

Apologies for the size of the picture, it was the only one they had.
