Pong Table, the work of German designer Moritz Waldemeyer, is currently being exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art. It is a very interesting take on the granddaddy of modern gaming. Waldemeyer’s version, however, uses a combination of 2400 LEDs and two track pads to let you get your game on. Shut down the power and you have a standard table.
Sadly, stuff like this has such a limited demand that it will never see mass production. That means that in order to get your own Pong Table, you are going to have to either build it yourself or commission Waldemeyer to do it for you. 2400 LEDs makes for one expensive commission and so it will probably only ever make its way into the homes of the Silicon Valley super rich, while the rest of us look on in envy.
