Spanish designer Javier Segovia took a look at the old boxy Nintendo Entertainment System and decided that he could do much better. He kept the familiar color scheme, added a touch of red and some mighty fine looking curves. The result, as you can see in the picture, is a modern looking box that would be at home in just about any AV cabinet.

While the NES still has some diehard fanatics, you can’t help but wonder what Segovia was thinking. The reNESED box would have been a great casemod for a Wii, especially one that was running a bunch of emulated games, but the NES has had its day (not to say that I wouldn’t want one of these). All the same, if the reNESED ever did go from concept to product, I am sure that Segovia would find plenty of willing takers on the Bay. [reNESED via Kotaku via Oh Gizmo]
