Two researchers from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence have managed to prove that they are not without a sense of fun. Matthieu Deru and Simon Bergweiler have put their tremendous brains together and come up with a hack that allows them to surf in Google Earth, using a Wii Balance Board for control.
If it sounds impressive it is because it is impressive. They stated that the hack took them hours of work in C# and testing, but the results are clever and for someone like me this is infinitely cooler than the Wii Fit games which I suck so royally at.
Check out the video to see Deru and Berweiler’s hack used to control not only Google Earth, but also Microsoft Virtual Earth and Second Life. You can see their contact address in the video, just in case you want to try this at home.
