The Suzuki Crosscage, a Hydrogen-Electric Hybrid Light CommuterStumble This

Suzuki Crosscage
The Suzuki Crosscage is a sporty looking hydrogen fuel cell and electric hybrid. From pictures and video it looks to be about the same size as a 50cc sports bike. It is lightweight and compact with a power output equivalent to that of a 125cc engine.

The range of about 200 kilometers on a single tank of hydrogen puts touring out of the question, but it is plenty for commuting. It also boasts a gearless transmission and due to the power source, a silent engine.

It gets the name from the cross-shaped cage that is used to protect the hydrogen tank. The tank is located where the bars of the cross intersect. Other safety features include a sensor that monitors the hydrogen system for any leaks.
