If you like your wine, or should I say, love your wine, then it might be worth considering purchasing a WinePod. The WinePod is an attractive home winemaking device that will help you turn your favorite grape varieties into four cases of wine. The process takes thirty days, though you would want to age it after that.
What sets the WinePod apart from so many homebrewing kits is that it uses technology to enhance the process. It connects wirelessly to your computer, where you can monitor the progress of your brew and receive suggestions as to how to improve it via the WineCoach software that comes packaged with the equipment.
The grapes that you use for the WinePod come frozen, which sort of spoils the mood for me, but it removes guesswork from the process as you are delivered precisely the amount that you need for one batch of wine.
On its own the WinePod is going to set you back $4,500, but there is a lot more involved in getting the grapes into your glass than making the wine. It will need to be aged properly and that is going to set you back $350 per 30L French Oak barrel. If you are serious about your winemaking, then you would likely want to get a few barrels on the go from the beginning. You will also need a bottling kit, bottles and all of your accessories.
