The Control4 7-inch POE Wall Mount Touch Screen is a nice piece of equipment for anyone that is making a serious effort at total home automation. It is designed for controlling home theater, multi-room music, temperature, security and lighting throughout a house and it mounts in a wall so it should never get lost.

One of the nice things about the Control 4 is that it will come with an 802.11 connectivity option; which should make it very easy to incorporate into your home network. As you had probably already gathered, the system isn’t cheap, but $1,200 would be considered reasonable by some. Especially if you don’t have the insane DIY home automation skills of someone like Jonathon Oxer.
