
The Enertia is an electric bike that is capable getting 40 miles of driving out of six Lithium Phosphate battery modules. The speed tops out at 50 MPH, but that is more than enough to handle just about any commute. The charge time is three hours, so if you have access to a power supply at work, you can charge it up before it comes time to head home.

Nice… but on a 65 m.p.h. highway where cars typically drive even faster, I wouldn’t be caught dead driving anything that maxes out at 50 m.p.h. Or, maybe I would.
Electric vehicle makers need to design vehicles that max out at 75 m.p.h. so that they’re usable on the highway. Many of us who commute do not have the luxury of only doing in-city driving.
