Ian Usher, an immigrant to Australia from England, ended up in a messy divorce and decided to pack it all in and take off. So, like many Internet savvy folks do when they want to sell something, Ian set up an auction on eBay. The only difference between Ian and the kid across the road selling his old mountain bike was that he decided to sell his “life”.

Ian’s “life” consisted of his Perth house, skydiving gear, jet ski, car, motorcycle, introduction to his friends and even a trial period at his job. He had been hoping for about half a million and initially got some extremely large fake bids in excess of a million dollars, but when reality came crashing down he was only worth $400,000 (Australian).
