British slot car manufacturer Scalextric makes some incredibly cool stuff. If you like your slot cars and you want to build your own track, you could do a lot worse. This 8-lane set up, which you can rent not buy, gives a good idea of what is possible with their track parts. This thing has beer-fueled parties (full of abundant bromance) written all over it.
The race kit will provide hours of entertainment as long as you have at least seven friends (or three ambidextrous ones). Races and events are all computer controlled, so you don’t need to keep score or worry about your friends trying to cheat. All you need to do is keep your finger on the speed trigger and race.
