
The phrase, “worst idea I have ever heard,” is not one to be thrown about hither and nither. It is only for the worst types of bad ideas and even then it might not be appropriate. Does Soft Sounds fit the picture? You be the judge.
Soft Sounds is described as:

A soft radio is strange, but it is the Soft Sounds revolutionary touch which really takes it to the next level:
The revolutionary thing about it is its tuning device, which consists of a needle, thread and an embroidered FM scale. To tune into a station you simply slide the needle over the fabric until you find the station you want. Then stick the needle in! To remember your favorite stations you can stitch an x by the FM scale, or just leave the needle in.
Something tells me that this ain’t headed for production in my lifetime, but I have been wrong before and could be again. [Idealist]
