The Disintegrator Rubber Band Minigun, 288 Bands of Pure PainStumble This

The Disintegrator
Do rubber band guns come any cooler than the disintegrator? If they do, I have yet to see one. The gun holds 288 bands which it will spew forth at a target of your choice at a rate of 40 bands per second from its 24 barrels. If you want to buy one, the sad news is that you can’t, it was built entirely by hand; you could try making your own though. Video after the jump.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to reload this thing, it must be done manually and I can imagine that could take a great deal of time; a high price to pay for the few seconds of enjoyment as you fire the thing, but it is guaranteed to strike fear in the hearts of the sales department in the next great office war. [...] There is a catch, however. If you’re looking to bring this to your next office NERF war, you’ll have to build one on your own, it’s not for sale. Also, once your 8 seconds of “god mode” are up, you’d better be jumping behind cover because every rubber band will need to be loaded ma-nu-a-frikkin-lly. Check out the portion of the video after 3:08. The rubber bands had enough momentum to bend some of the metal parts of the floppy disks! Sure seems a lot better than that single rubber band piece of crap I fashioned out of chopsticks when I was 10. [Disintegrator UK via The UberReview] [...]
