The TeraRAID XV-NAS gives you and enormous amount of Network Attached Storage (NAS), 15TB to be precise. With present media sizes that is likely to be more than you or I will ever need, but if you have a serious pornography collection/obsession going, or if you really love to hoard digital content – then you might need that much. It comes in a very slick looking rackmount form and features 15 hot-swappable disks in RAID6 configuration.
What can you do with 15TB? You can set up a serious home theater server that should last a good length of time. Hard disk drives can burn out; it has happened to me twice, but as they are hot-swappable, swapping one takes next to no effort at all. On the downside, all that storage comes at a premium price. You would expect 15TB to be expensive, but who wants to pay $1000 per TB?
Price: $15,000 for the 15TB version, $11,000 for the 7TB version, a bit too much of a premium for some software and a cool looking case. [Intest via CE Pro, Slippery Brick]

I’ll stick with the 1TB Maxtor “Central Axis” NAS I just bought, thanks. $300/TB is a much happier price than $1000. That, and 1 TB is plenty for me for now (considering to date I have maybe 300 GB of data to store).
