Mod Your Popcorn Hour A100 Media StreamerStumble This

A-100 mod
I must admit that I still don’t have a media streamer and while I am tempted to buy one, somewhere along the way I am going to make an HTPC to handle all of my media anyway. Still, the Popcorn Hour A-100 does provide a few compelling reasons for purchase. It handles a whole mess of formats can serve as a BitTorrent Client and can easily be fitted with an internal PATA hard disk drive.

To learn how to perform the mod which requires little more than a screwdriver and a little imagination, check out the video after the jump.

Jeremy Jones and presumably others realized that the space inside the Popcorn was big enough for a PATA HDD and slipped 80GB in there to turn it into a really versatile piece of home entertainment equipment. Sure 80GB ain’t a whole lot, but it is a lot better than nothing.

Incidentally, the video is ten minutes long, so you might like to grab some real popcorn, or some other form of sustenance, to get you through the marathon.
