Strike Two, Jeffrey Robert Weinberg Gets Two Years for Cyber StalkingStumble This

I could offer some inane advice as to how a geek can survive in a state penitentiary, but Jeffrey Robert Weinberg probably knows better than me. At the ripe old age of 23, he is already done 10 months in a federal penitentiary.

It would seem that he did not learn to straighten up and fly right after a ten month sentence for hacking a Lexis-Nexus owned database. His latest crime is cyber stalking an Internet celebrity of whom I have never heard.

It is alleged that Weinberg’s harassment included inflicting the following miseries upon Amor Hilton:

  • Disconnected her cell phone
  • Demanding phone sex
  • Demanding nude images
  • Locked her out of her MySpace account
  • Took over her Stickam account

It looks like J.R. won’t be seeing the light of day for a while, as he was on probation for his aforementioned federal crime at the time he was busted for cyber stalking.

According to LAPD Detective Eric Jones:

What happens is, after he does his two years state prison, which starts from the time I arrested him in January, then he has to go … face the judge for his violation of federal probation. They won’t do that until he’s just about ready to get out of federal prison.

So it looks like two years will be tip of the iceberg and the world won’t have to see this alleged douchebag for a good long while. [Wired, My Digital Life (Image)]
