The Charcoal Water Pitcher is an interesting alternative to traditional water filter systems. You let your Iouseki stones and Binchotan charcoal from Japan sit in your pitcher. The idea is that the stones will enrich the water with minerals and the charcoal will deodorize it.
The charcoal and stones last for about six months and you can apparently buy replacements. There is no word on volume, but if some Math whiz would like to calculate it, we will be for ever in their awe. It is 10.75″ high and has a diameter of 4.5″.
Price: $85 and $25 for the replacement stones and charcoal, which last for about six months. [DWR via Acquire]

It holds .75 gallons, so that’s about 12 cups of water
