Daniel Deutsch must really, really love Star Wars, otherwise there would be little reason to build your own Land Speeder replica, which is what Danel did and he did a fantastic job of it too.

This thing actually drives, though unfortunately it doesn’t levitate and can manage a top speed of 25 mph from its electric drive system. It has some other cool features too including an audio system which features over 52 R2D2 sounds, smoke machines and a projector. I think it can safely be stated that Daniel Deutsch takes the title of king of the Star Wars geeks.
The only way that anyone is going to top this is if they build a real Land Speeder. [Daniel Deutsch via Neatorama, Geek Alerts]

Couldn’t he spring for some new parts? Looks like he bought that thing from a bunch of Jawas.

Daniel Deutsch built a replica of a Star Wars land speeder. I want one. It only goes about 25 m/p/h, though, which kind of stinks. Let s build one of these things with a real engine, so I can actually drive it around.
Yes. I am a huge geek. I would totally make this my main car and drive it everywhere.
