Phenomenal is the only word to describe the sales of The Force Unleashed. It has sold 1.5 million copies in less than a week and LucasArts are stating that they have shipped 4.3 million copies worldwide. They have sold so many, in fact, that they need to fire up the presses again for another run. While the game has had mixed reviews, you can’t deny the hype.

As for me (I don’t own a console but am getting one as soon as X-Box 360s are available in Japan again), I will wait until I can grab it pre-owned on eBay. Considering that LucasArts like to thank key development personnel by firing them to save a few bucks, I don’t feel particularly motivated to contribute to their fiscal success. [Joystiq]
