Homemade Supercar Gets Awesome Performance… and MileageStumble This

The Z59 is described as the product of some 800 hours of garage time spent over 15 months in a DIY labor of love. It makes use of an Acura k20a3 engine taken from a crashed RSX and incorporates many parts that were scrounged from old junk. There are stainless panels from old appliances, body panels from a kayak and the throttle pedal came out of an engineering firm dumpster.

The result of this epic project is a car that apparently not only “sounds awesome,” but that is also “a blast to drive.” It can pull 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and gets over 35 miles to the gallon. [MAKE]
