Arduino Gamepack, Costs a Lot, Has No Games, Is Very CoolStumble This

Why buy a vintage portable game unit like a Gameboy when you can build one yourself? Sure, the Arduino Gamepack is prohibitively expensive, and there aren’t actually any games to speak of for it yet (it runs homebrew code), but if the longshot comes in and someone puts together an emulator for the thing, then this is going to be a must have toy for geeks of all descriptions.

The kit comes with everything you need to get started and includes an Arduino processor, the 128×128 TouchShield Stealth color OLED touchscreen and an Inputshield board with a tiny rumbling joystick and control buttons. It is powered by a flat Lithium battery pack. The end result will be one of the coolest-looking handhelds you are likely to come across.

Price: $249 for the kit [Gamepack Kit via Liquidware Antipasto, Boing Boing Gadgets, Technabob]
