Coosh Headset Review

I knew after opening the box for the Coosh headphone that things were going to be different from most. Any company that can put their product on a fake body part (in this case, an ear) is OK with me. The Coosh headphones are entering a crowded ring of endless choices in the headphone world but will easily establish themselves as a clear cut winner thanks to great sound quality at an affordable price. During my review the Coosh headphones lived up to there tag line, they stay on and feel good. They make this possible by using a lightweight flexible silicone ear ring to secure the ear buds. The silicone rings are detachable so you can “customize your wearing style”. You can use them for which ever activity that makes your heart beat faster (ie. running, jumping, dancing, seating on the couch..) and these little guys will stay put.

Sound quality
For a $20 headphone ($25 for a headset) I was impressed at the range of sound that it pumped out. I listened to an eclectic range of music and it performed nicely with all music styles. When receiving phone calls the voice came across clear with no issues. The only negative thing, Bass was weak but what do you expect at this price point.

Microphone
The headset comes with a in-line mic that can be muted. The performance of the mic is adequate. The voice quality does come across tinny.

Comfort
They are comfortable to wear and I could wear them longer than most ear buds. I don’t know if I could wear them all day but I did find I could wear them four times as long as the stock Apple ear buds.

Summary
If you live an active lifestyle and your music phone / MP3 player is your BFF, the Coosh headphones will be a perfect fit for you. For a $20 headphone ($25 for a headset) you will be hard pressed to find something of similar quality.
