
Here is a novel concept from AO-Lab, a thumb drive that does not connect to your standard USB port, rather it connects to an eSATA drive, which is much, much faster. The only trouble I see for this technology is that very few people actually know what eSATA is, and not all computers have it. This probably means that the AO-Lab device will have only limited appeal. Available in 8, 16 and 32GB[AO-Lab via Everything USB, Oh Gizmo]

Look up Kanagaru’s eSata thumb drive. It’s better quality, AND it also has USB 2.0 on the other side. Keeps the geeks AND the mainstream folks all happy and connected.
