Toronto’s Pixels For Pistols Program Trades Guns for Digital Cameras

There have been a few gun amnesty programs around the world in the past, but Pixels for Pistols, which is a concept that is a joint venture between Henry’s Camera and the Toronto Police is something a little bit different. People will be able to trade in a gun, regardless of its legality and get a digital camera (a Nikon Coolpix S52 or a Coolpix P60) and photography lessons.

The goal of the program is to get guns off the street and giving people an incentive as well as a no questions asked approach to people returning illegal firearms is a pretty good way to do it. [The Star]
