Denon has a word’s first on their hands in the form of the DVD-A1UDCI, a universal Bluray player that can playback CD/DVD/SACD/DVD-A and of course Bluray. It is packed with all kinds of high-end goodness, including an Ethernet port, SD card slot and BD Live support. A 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset enables simultaneous 1080p scaling to two different outputs and the Advanced AL32 processor will upscale 16 and 24-bit audio signals to 32-bit. Outputs from this monster include 7.1 channel analog outs and two HDMI ports.
Not surprisingly the DVD-A1UDCI comes with a price tag that is nothing if not monstrous. Upon it’s February release, it will be selling for $3800. [AV Guide via Audio Junkies]
