Videos: Retro Neurotikart, the World’s Fastest Electric Go CartStumble This

The Retro Neurotikart is the work of an engineer with a passion for electrical speed. It tops out just over 60 mph thanks to an ES-33 motor, Alltrax AXE-7234 controller, and six Optima D34 Yellow Top batteries. The second video shows it with a lighter pilot and better motor. Both videos are notable for their conspicuous absence of safety equipment and that they seem to be shot on public roads.

It would be great to see what they can do with one of these on a track (with helmets of course).

To be clear, I don’t claim that it’s the world’s fastest electric kart, but it’s probably in the running. I claimed “fastest electric kart on YouTube” largely as “bait” for others to post something faster.

The Neurotikart as shown can beat the NEDRA world record for gokarts in the 1/4 mile, but unfortunately, NEDRA discontinued the gokart class for safety reasons.

I do wear a helmet these days, too. I’d have to say that, with the “yard kart” style tires, the Neurotikart would not be that exciting to see at a track. Improvements are currently in the works, however.

Awesome Mark, thanks for the comment and for the record I absolutely love your work! keep us posted on what you’re working on. AND I definitely think that the helmet is a good idea, that low to the ground the speed must feel incredible.
