Atari 360 Controller Retro Cool but a Little AwkwardStumble This

This might have just been a “because I can” mod from the maestro Ben Heck, but it is extremely cool. He has taken an old Atari 2600 joystick, gutted it, added some extra buttons, a circuit board and the innards of a Guitar Hero controller, and turned it into a X-360 controller.

Unfortunately, it can’t play 360 titles, but it can play a few Xbox Live Arcade titles, which is probably for the best, because I don’t see tiny buttons on the front being all that conducive to good gaming. [Ben Heck via HackADay, Technabob]

This is a very cool hack, but if you want a real classic game controller experience, check this out, its in production and is hackable with up to 10 add-on buttons, works with Win/PC, Apple Mac’s and even Linux too:
