Standby Monster Lights to Scare You Into Turning Gadgets Off, or Entertain you Into Keeping Them On

The Standby Monsters are designed to remind you to turn off your gadgets rather than just leave them on standby where they waste electricity. They are a pretty cool idea, but you have to wonder if that very factor will have people leaving their gadgets on because standby now looks cooler.

They are just a concept for now, but one would imagine that they could see the light of day pretty easily. They wouldn’t cost too much to produce and would probably pay for themselves pretty quickly due to energy savings. [Core77]
