The physical size of flash drives makes them very easy to lose, or worse, leave in the pocket of your jeans when you dump them in the wash. LaCie has potentially worked around that by designing flash drives that look like keys and that can be attached to your key ring; it makes sense really, two commonly misplaced items tethered together so you can lose them together.
