Elecom’s latest high-end mouse sports a novel design that many people are starting to find rather interesting. It is designed to be as precise as a pen; this is achieved by placing the sensor up where a pen tip would normally touch paper (presumably that means it is directly between the thumb and the forefinger).
The sensor is a fairly quick 1600dpi, gaming mice go a lot higher, but precision goes out the window at high speeds; 1600dpi ought to be plenty for most screen configurations. Unfortunately this is a Japan-only release for now, but give it time. If there is enough demand it is almost certain to get a run Stateside. [Akihabara via SlipperyBrick]
