DIY: Remote Control of RX-8 By iPod TouchStumble This

Jonathan Oxer has taken his awesome Linux skills to the next level and gone and made a remote control system for his RX-8. The system doesn’t move the car, rather it allows him to unlock the doors, pop the trunk and even start the engine. A quick click of the screen will also give him telemetry data and let him know if he needs to buy gas. As if that wasn’t enough, the system also comes with an RFID reader, so the doors automatically unlock and the engine automatically starts for him when he gets to his car; thanks to the RFID chip that he has implanted in his arm.

You think that his car is cool, check out his house. [Geek My Ride via Hacked Gadgets, Oh Gizmo]
