With the economy deeper in the toilet than most politicians are prepared to admit to, new video cameras are not exactly on the top of people’s lists of priorities; which is likely what the folks at Genius were thinking with the sub $150 (kinda) Genius G-Shot HD520 Camcorder.

For the price miracles should not be expected, but 720p is respectable resolution and for the odd home movie or YouTube video, that is plenty. When you add the cost of a memory card to it, and you will want to as the 32MB of onboard memory is joke-worthy, the price gets a little higher but is still well within sensible limits.
