When it comes to book scanners, there are over-engineered behemoths that cost gazillions of dollars, and then there is the Scan Dock. It is made out of cardboard which makes it cheap to produce and just as cheap to ship and it gets the job done just as well as many of the entry level machines that cost a whole lot more.

Price: $16 or you can get the plans for free and build one yourself; but I kind of think that someone should be compensated for this sort of awesome ingenuity. [Kyleakoch via Red Ferret]
